Recently one of our key customers subcontracted ourselves for another turnkey project which involved the design, supply and installation of a 2-tier mezzanine platform, the supply and installation of Aluminium daybins and the installation of all the material conveying, vacuum and silo pipework.
The Director and draughtsman visited site on a number of occasions and were heavily involved in the planning and design stage with the end customer to ensure everything met with their requirements. The drawings and 3D
models were issued to the customer for approval and sign off. Our Engineers started with all the Silo pipework outside and worked to exacting requirements on the project schedule. The steelwork was fabricated in our factory in Chesterfield, powdercoated to the customers colour
specification and supplied in sections suitable for transporting, ready to bolt together and secure on site.
The finished platform was 33m long x 7m high x 3m wide and was manufactured to support the existing 7 round silos, 4 existing Aluminium day bins and the new 4 Aluminium daybins manufactured and installed by ourselves. The mezzanine platform was fully fabricated in house and as a company we are fully compliant with BS EN: 1090-1 Execution Class 2 for Structural Steelwork.

Our team of Engineers installed a total of 90 material lines; 6 lines from each of the 15 daybins to 3 machine positions. The routes and layouts were thoroughly planned out with our Engineers knowledge and their substantial experience in pipework installation. The vacuum ductwork was a single system in 200mm diameter pipe running from the pump and tapping off at the hopper loaders on each of the 15 internal silo positions.
